Help

Common questions about Toddler Games.

What ages is this for?

Ages 2-6. Younger toddlers might need a hand from a parent for the first couple of goes.

Is it free?

Yes. Ad-free, no in-app purchases, no sign-up, no download needed. It's a passion project.

Does it track my child?

No. We don't collect any personal data, there are no accounts, and we don't use cookies. The only analytics we run are anonymous page-view counts.

How does this fit with the new screen time guidelines?

The AAP's 2026 update focuses on content quality over time limits. The UK's EYSTAG report recommends slow-paced content with simple backgrounds, co-viewing where possible, and sessions under an hour. Our games are designed around these principles: short sessions (3-8 minutes), calm pacing, gentle sounds, natural endings, and no engagement tricks that make it harder for your child to stop.

Why are there no stars, points, or rewards?

A 2025 study found that reward-heavy app design makes it harder for children with lower self-regulation to stop playing. A separate study found that points and badges can create surface-level engagement without genuine learning. Our games use narrative completion instead: your child makes something, gives it to a character, and the story ends. There's nothing to collect and no reason to keep chasing.

Can I add it to my home screen?

Yes. On iPhone, open the site in Safari, tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". On Android, tap the Chrome menu and choose "Add to Home Screen". It's not an app store download, just a shortcut.

Why is there no sound?

Browsers block audio until someone taps the screen. Make sure you or your kid taps to start the game. If it's still quiet, check the speaker icon in the top corner isn't muted.

The game is stuck or my child keeps exiting

The home and reset buttons need a long press (hold for about half a second) to work. This is on purpose so small fingers can't accidentally exit or restart. If your kid keeps swiping out of the app entirely, every phone and tablet has a built-in mode that locks the screen to one app. It takes about 30 seconds to set up.

What devices does it work on?

Anything with a modern browser. Phones, tablets, laptops. It works best on touchscreens since the games are designed for tapping and dragging.
